Zay Area Foundation’s mission is to provide music education, relief and resources to youth and residents in underserved communities, resulting in opportunities to help propel them towards their dreams and destiny. 

 

For many years my husband and I have served the communities we had the amazing opportunity to live and work in. Philanthropy is in our hearts. Therefore, Zay Area’s mission is important to us because we believe that a little empowerment and support can go a long way. 

 

Inspired by our son Xavier “Zaytoven” Dotson, Zay Area Foundation was created with an understanding that music can assist with happiness, creativity and healing. Providing access to musical education, instruments to school programs and masterclasses, we provide our youth with an expressive creative outlet, as well as new skill development for future careers.

 

Through our mission, we partner with other community organizations to provide outreach and resources to assist residents in need of food, clothing and other daily living essentials. 

 

We have strategically collaborated with organizations, such as Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, donating financial support to aid their Sickle Cell Clinic, a disorder near and dear to our hearts that disproportionately impacts African-Americans.
